What I've Been Doing

Hello everyone! It's meaches here, I'm still alive! I've been so busy lately that I don't have enough free time for blogging. I'm more active on Twitter and I have Instagram now too because my friends told me to get one. Follow me both @norealplot and say hello! The reason I'm busy isn't just with the family business but I'm also concentrating very hard on writing and designing my comics. It's not easy with the limited time I have but I'm making it work the best way I can. And of course, I want it to be good so I'm taking extra care with the quality of the story.

I'm actually working on two projects. One is an all-ages sci-fi/fantasy comic series that I've been tossing around since high school? It is my life's work! haha! The other project is a more recent collaboration with my sister: the idea is a children's story featuring animals having adventures. That's all I can say for now. Above is the sneak peek of what the character designs might look like. I'm mostly going for a simplified cartoony style to keep the work load light. But really, who doesn't love cute cartoons?

I've also been drawing a lot of Doctor Who. You all know how much I love Doctor Who. When the 8th season finished, that was the time I decided to doodle some 12th Doctor. Sometimes I think I'm forgetting how to draw. I'm getting rusty. Both are bad. lol. But I found the 12th Doctor is fun to draw as much as he is charming, despite his elderly wrinkles. I like how he still manages to convey a child-like "innocence" in his character.

R is for Reunion: old friends and new, connected.

L is for London, where Sherlock met & left John.

O is for on, because the game is back on!

C is for Charles Magnussen, the new adversary?

K is for killed, will someone die in Series Three?

My sister and I made an acronym thing for Sherlock. We were supposed to upload this before the release of ‘The Empty Hearse’ but got stuck with the ‘k’ and the rhyming.. Most of this was based on the first trailer but a lot has happened with the release of Season Three’s episode one and two. I don’t know how this will apply to episode three, but I could always write a new one. Hope you guys like it!

It's Pirates Time!

I absolute love, love, LOVE Adventure Time. I haven't liked a cartoon series this much since Teen Titans. The characters are all so cute and charming in a weird way. In the spirit of crossovers, I saw there isn't enough love for Adventure Time + pirates so I decided to draw one of my own. (Marceline's pose is terribly wrong but I'm too lazy to go back and change everything again haha)

It's Adventure Time!!

Last month, my awesome friends and I made Adventure Time caricatures of ourselves. This is my version with my dog and cat cruisin' on our hover board. I had fun working on this, especially when it came to designing my pets!!

This is Irish and her dog, Axel, on their cool bike. She started the whole idea and told me to include my cat.

Here's Keno and his derp-faced, Russia! I think his character feels the most Adventure Time-fied.

Seeing our drawings all together is super adorable. I'm looking forward when our other friends will make their own versions too! I'll update this post when that happens!

Time Flies

Well, the year is almost over. Pretty fast, huh? And I've only posted two drawings this whole time! Truth is, in case you haven't noticed, I'm a bad blogger. I can't even keep a real journal.But I should change that. This is Natsuki from Mai-HiME by the way. One of anime I just watched. I should really draw more and post. Okay, I'll work on that.
